Whether you’re a Themyscirian warrior princess, billionaire playboy with a penchant for winged rodents, or heck, if you just enjoy talking to fish, lend us your aid in this matter! The fate of the world may depend upon it (ok, probably not, but it’ll be fun)!

Super Friends, away!!!!!

Seattle-Kobe Sister City Association’s 60th Anniversary!

Dear JETAA Friends,

A heartfelt 明けましておめでとうございます to all of you. I am sad that I was not able to celebrating with you at the 2017 Shinnenkai & Annual Meeting.

I’d like to ask you all to take a moment and remember the faces of people you met in Japan. The experience that binds us as JETs, I would contend, we owe to those people. Our students, coworkers, friends: The people of Japan are the core of our memories.

The organization I am honored to serve, the Seattle-Kobe Sister City Association, is devoted to the kinds of connections that JET strives to create: people-to-people connections. This year, we are celebrating our 60th anniversary.

All throughout the year, we will have numerous events and programs celebrating the friendship between Seattle and Kobe. If you are interested in learning more about our work, please visit us at   Numerous JETs work with us as volunteers, directors, and friends.

I wish you all the best in this new year, and look forward to building more connections with the people of Japan together with all of you.
