Tsukimi at the Japanese Garden

JOIN PNWJETAA at Seattle’s Japanese Garden THIS SATURDAY for Tsukimi (Moon Viewing) to celebrate the autumn moon. On Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m., there is a full schedule of Japanese performances. The garden will be lit with luminaria, lanterns, and boats afloat on the ponds.

Admission is $15, but all your money is going to a good cause – the maintenance and upkeep of one of our community’s Japanese gardens. This is the garden’s largest event of the year and it is very popular.

PNWJETAA member, Vince Kessler, is planning on being there early (6:40-45ish) to stake out a spot in front of the stage so we can see the Japanese performances. Parking is free next to the garden entrance, but is at a premium considering how popular this event is. We encourage you to plan accordingly or take Metro bus.

Summer is almost over, so come celebrate with PNWJETAA while the weather is still nice~!

More information on the performance schedule is available from the Seattle Parks & Recreation website: http://www.seattle.gov/parks/parkspaces/JapaneseGarden/japanesegardenevents.htm.
