THANK YOU TO PNWJETAA Aki Matsuri Volunteers

A special thank you goes out to all our volunteers who made this year’s Aki Matsuri an overwhelming success. We had quite a few people stop by and enjoy writing where they have been on our map, playing our Japan Quiz game, snacking on some Japanese candy, watching our JETAA slideshow on our digital photo frames and even playing shogi with Vince!

Keep an eye on this space for an update with all the results tallied from our map. You’d be surprised how many different places people have been!

PNWJETAA is looking for alumni volunteers who can help out at the booth for 2 or 4 hour shifts for the Aki Matsuri at Bellevue Community College on September 8-9. This year, rather than just promoting JET, we will have a few booth activities. There will be a Map of Japan which we will encourage people to place pins where they lived, were born, or would like to go. We will tally the results and post them on our website. Also, we will have a Quiz on Japan to test people who come by. We will give snacks to those who can answer the questions correctly. This will make the experience more interactive and fun.

If you see a shift you can help out with, please RSVP Shun(sarigenaku26 (at) hotmail(dot) com) We encourage people to take on two consecutive shifts if possible, and we will try to get two volunteers for each time slot. We will post this schedule onto the website as we fill in the information:
