Imonikai Party on October 4th at Crystal Mountain: RSVP NOW!

Hello! This is the second annual PNW JETAA Imonikai sponsored by Ian Burkheimer at his cabin at Crystal Mountain. If you’d like to come, RSVP NOW!

When: Saturday, October 4, 11:00AM
It’s time for this years Imonikai! This is a party in the mountains to celebrate the beginning of autumn. We will cook up a big pot of hearty soup, make rice balls, and have lots of japanese snacks. To find about last year’s fun event, go here.
Cost: $10 per adult, $5 for kids. This includes your soup and snacks for lunch. Please bring your own beer/beverages.

If you are spending the night, please bring something for breakfast.

Schedule:

10:30 – Yoko and Ian will arrive at the cabin and start setting up
11:00 – Anyone interested in helping to prepare the soup for the party is invited join us to help.
12:00 – The party will start with a short hike through the woods to the White River where we will eat.
~4:00PM we will come back to the Cabin and finish cleaning up.
after 4PM Those that would like to stay for the evening/over night are invited to. We will play some board games and just have fun. Space to put your sleeping bag in the cabin is avaialble on a first come first come basis. Please let us know when you RSVP if you are interested.

Sunday Morning:
If you spend the night, we will probably going for a short two to three mile hike for those interested, then will head home.

Directions:

First, get yourself to Enumclaw Washington, then head east on highway 410. Go up the road about 32 miles. You will see a sign to turn off the highway to go up to Crystal Mountain Blvd. Take the small, dirt road to the left side of the road about 500 ft BEFORE Crystal Mountain Blvd. If you enter Mount Rainier National Park, you have gone too far. The cabin is the third one in. It has a sign that says Skal on the front.

In Yamagata City, they use a crane to scoop the soup!!!!
