Japan Comes to Spokane!

Last year, over 200 area teens turned out for a night of Japanese urban fashion, live music, games, and delicious instant ramen! When asked about the event, Ned replied, “obviously, it’s no Sakura-Con, but for the kids of Spokane, this is as close as you can get to a night out in Ame-Mura or Harajuku in Eastern Washington. Prior to the “Hara-Hara” party, there really were no events for the all-ages crowd during Japan Week. It’s really cool to be able to provide kids in Spokane who are interested in modern Japanese Culture an event they get excited about.” This year, former PNW JET Alumni Association Treasurer Shun Endo’s band, The Liquid Now, will be making the journey across the Cascades to bring a little rock and roll to Japan Week Spokane. Apart from the “Hara-Hara” scene, Inland JETAA will also have a table set up for prospective JETs at the opening ceremonies on Saturday, April 18th at Spokane’s Riverpark Square.
