Hanami 2012

The cherry blossoms at the UW are blooming something fierce right now, and it’s a beautiful sight to see. Don’t believe me? Check it out.

The blooming petals (and our lives) being as transitory as they are, we are going to seize the opportunity by holding hanami this Saturday from 1pm-3pm at the University of Washington on the quad (the Liberal Arts Quadrangle) — rain or shine. A nifty map to get you there is here.

As of Wednesday, we are looking at a 50% chance of precipitation — and you know what? I like those odds. Even so, bring weather appropriate clothing. Bring your cameras, too!

RSVP if you are interested in coming to social(at)pnwjetaa(dot)org. There isn’t a cap on participants or anything, but you may want to be on the list in case the weather turns for the very nasty and we have to cancel.
