This program started in 1994 as a scholarship program. The students are attending our program as part of a government funded scholarship program from three city governments in Kagoshima, Japan for English education and cultural experience. All the participants are screened and interviewed by the city governments before they come. A high percentage of the participants return to the United States for college education. After they complete their education, they reside all over the world with their various professions. We, at NANES strive to provide the meaningful, safe and fun environment for the students while they are in Seattle. Above all it is a key for a successful program to provide nice host families.
