Join the 2013 PNWJETAA Walk for Rice Team!
Walk for Rice is a fund-raising event featuring a 2.5 mile walk/run. Walk for Rice attracts over 1,000 participants who help enable the Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) non-profit to buy rice and provide free support services to the ACRS Food Bank, located in the International District.
ACRS’ Food Bank is one of the most visited food banks in King County, and the only one in the state that regularly acquires foods that meet Asia Pacific ethnic dietary needs. More than 5,000 people a year rely on ACRS’ Food Bank and Nutrition Programs to have enough to eat; most are children under 18 years of age, or seniors over 65. Most clients come from low-income, Asian Pacific American households.
Every year, PNWJETAA gets a team together to walk Seward Park for the event! Join us in raising money to buy rice and basic food supplies for the ACRS’ food bank.
Location: Seward Park, 5902 Lake Washington BLVD S, Seattle WA
Date: June 29th, 8AM – 12:30PM
