Volunteer for 2013 Aki Matsuri!

ReaOmikoshidy to fall into Bellevue? (bad puns win!)

AKI MATSURI! 秋祭りだよ!

The Eastside Nihon Matsuri Association will have it’s annual Aki Matsuri on the weekend of September 7th-8th! There will be several interesting shows (Shinji Harada!) and presentations, including one by local alumni member, Patrick Reymann! Patrick and Masakatsu Matsumoto will be presenting, “Castles of Japan”.

As always, PNWJETAA will have its own booth table, located next to the Consulate General of Japan, and we’ll be needing volunteers! We need genki/energetic alumni members who want to speak about their experiences on JET and Japan in general. Aki Matsuri is the perfect time to start drumming up interest in the JET Program and encouraging prospective applicants to apply during the 2013-2014 application period. And best of all? We always find one or two alumni who didn’t know we were around!

There are a total of three shifts per day:

Saturday (September 7th):

  • 10AM – 12:30PM (2.5 hours)
  • 12:30PM – 3PM (2.5 hours)
  • 3PM – 6PM (3 hours)

Sunday (September 8th):

  • 10AM – 12:00PM (2 hours)
  • 12:00PM – 2:00PM (2 hours)
  • 2:00PM – 4:30PM (2.5 hours)

We will be needing two volunteers per shift (our booth is small!) Please help us make the PNWJETAA Booth so awesome, winter will stop in its track and decide not to come. If you haven’t been to Aki Matsuri yet, please check out their website for event information and essential details.
For shift information and/or to volunteer, please email president@pnwjetaa.org!
