2015 Annual Meeting and Shinnenkai ~ 新年会

It seems only a  year ago… oh wait. It was. A year ago! It’s time for us to celebrate the new year again for 2015!

PNWJETAA will be hosting our Annual Meeting and Shinnenkai this year at a new location for the first time in three years! The Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Washington has kindly offered to the Annual Meeting and Shinnenkai plus many of our future events! We’re excited to be moving forward with this collaboration and hope to see many of you at our new home for the near future! This is the first year that the Annual Meeting and Shinnenkai will directly follow our Transitions 2015 event, and we hope this brings out some of you from the woodwork as well!

This is one of our biggest, most kid-friendly events of the year, and we encourage all former JETs to attend, along with their kids! We’re always excited to meet future JETs =) and this year, we’ll have a kid’s corner and a dedicated group of PNWJETAA volunteers to entertain.

And in true PNWJETAA tradition, we will again be voting on new Steering Council members for the 2015/2016 year. All positions are available, excepting Treasurer, which is a two-year commitment. If you’re interesting in joining PNWJETAA Steering Council, please contact president@pnwjetaa.org. We’re always seeking enthusiastic volunteers!

There will be raffles, delicious Japanese food, and a chance to meet up with old friends and new!

Buy your tickets at Brownpapertickets! There are two tickets options available for adults attendees (at $15 and $20), and all children ages 13 and under will be free to attend.

Time: February 7th (Saturday), at 5:00PM

Location: Japanese Cultural and Community Center, 1414 South Weller Street, Seattle. We’ll be in the large Dojo room; please follow the signs for PNWJETAA

We’re all incredibly excited to see everyone again and to celebrate yet another year under our belts!

Happy New Year and 明けましておめでとうございます!
