We’re having elections for the 2016-2017 board at our Annual Meeting and Shinnenkai on Saturday, January 30th! Joining the steering council is a fun way to stay involved with the Japan-related community, meet new people, and develop your professional skills and network.
Our steering council is comprised of:
Executive board: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
Committees: Media Relations, Social, (Transitions) Career Day, (New JET) Orientation, Community & Volunteer Outreach, Membership, Newsletter, and others that spontaneously arise!
All members of the steering council are expected to attend monthly meetings, work together, and help out with larger events as needed. If you have any ideas for new committees, like outdoor activities or language clubs, please tell us! All positions except Treasurer are open for election this year.
Check out the position descriptions here and submit a brief platform to secretary@pnwjetaa.org by Wednesday, January 27. Ideally, you would introduce yourself at our Annual Meeting, so if you cannot attend, please let us know in advance.
