Thanks to everyone who came to Shinka & Shinnenkai Thanks to everyone who came to Shinka & Shinnenkai on Saturday! We enjoyed a look at the LeMay Car Museum’s Shinka exhibit with special insights from the exhibit’s designer, followed by delicious Japanese food at THEKOI 🚗🍱

Registration is now OPEN for JET Ski 2025! Be one of the first 10 registrants by January 31 for a USD$30 cash subsidy on the day of the event. Whether you ski, snowboard, or snowshoe, we look forward to seeing you all in Vancouver! ❄️

Not into winter sports? No problem! Join us for the après ski dinner or other optional activities and hang out with your fellow JET alumni from all three JETAA chapters: JETAA Portland, PNWJETAA, and JETAABC!
Bring on the new year in Tacoma! Please join the  Bring on the new year in Tacoma! Please join the Pacific Northwest JET Alumni Association as we celebrate a new council and explore the South Sound on Saturday, January 18. Before Shinnenkai, consider joining us on a self-guided tour at 1:00PM to the LeMay’s Shinka: An Immersive Japanese Automobile Exhibit and then move on to THEKOI SUSHI & SAKE BAR. Appetizers will be provided by PNWJETAA, but drinks and additional food will need to be purchased.
Please note: The restaurant can only take one payment so please bring cash or pay our PNWJETAA representative via Venmo.

LeMay’s Shinka: An Immersive Japanese Automobile Exhibit (we hope to get the discounted group rate if we can get a group of 10 or more for the museum visit)

Price: $20 (NOTE: Tickets for visitors 5-12 years of age, can be purchased at the door for $17.50)

Address: LeMay – America’s Car Museum, 2702 E D St, Tacoma, WA 98421

Meet-up time: 1:00PM

Due to group pricing, tickets must be purchased in advance. Those who register will be provided payment instructions (VENMO preferred) and payment must be received by Lynn (PNWJETAA VP) by Wednesday, January 15th. A follow up email with final details for the museum visit will be sent upon receipt of payment.

Spaces are very limited for the Shinnninkai! Please sign-up early and if you are unable to join, please email officers@pnwjetaa.org ASAP so we can open more spaces.
