Join our PNWJETAA group as Bon Odori returns to Seattle!
Seattle Bon Odori is an annual event to celebrate Obon, a family reunion holiday during which people return to ancestral family places and visit and clean their ancestors’ graves when the spirits of ancestors are supposed to revisit the household altars. Bon Odori is a traditional dance that has become part of the holiday’s celebrations, and is often one of the first festival traditions in which JETs participate after arriving at their placements.
