Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to explore your options & network!
Transitions: Opportunities Forum and Networking Expo is back! Join PNWJETAA as we present one of our most important events for our members and those interested in exploring career, education and community involvement options. Although this event was originally created for former JET Program participants who were either just returning from Japan or were interested in exploring new opporutnities, we have opened access to this event to anyone who has international working experience, especially related to Japan or those who wish to find out more about the opportunities presented at our event. A special invitation is extended to those interested in learning more about the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program or scholarships offered by the Japanese government, as there will be a special free information session held at Transitions with alumni of both programs!
Bring your family and friends and meet up with fellow alumni at Bob’s Corn & Pumpkin Farm! Parking and admission is FREE! Pick out the perfect pumpkins to take home for pumpkin carving or some seasonal dishes. Bob’s Corn & Pumpkin Patch opens at 10:00 am but feel free to come later and stay for as little or as long as you’d like. This outing will be a great opportunity to reunite with those sweet, sweet giant orange pumpkins that are so hard to come by (and expensive!) in Japan, get a little muddy, and warm up with some delicious foods like the farm’s famous cider donuts!
(Please leave your furry friends at home — pets are not allowed.)
The PNW JET Alumni Association Team Page is now up and running, so please help us fight hunger one step at a time at the2019 Walk for Rice! This event is a lot of fun and a great way to support an important cause and make a positive difference in our community! Funds raised help provide sticky rice (the good stuff) & other needed groceries for the Asian Counseling and Referral Service Food Bank.
Everyone is welcome to join our team, so please invite your friends and family to join the fun as well (this also includes well behaved pets) – the more the merrier! If this will be your first time participating, please check out the event FAQs page, which should answer most of your questions!
It’s super easy to join us! From our TEAM PAGE: – Click on “JOIN TEAM” to register as either a runner or walker or – Click on “DONATE NOW” to donate directly to our team or – If you cant join us in person, sponsor one (or more) of the our team members listed on our “TEAM ROSTER” to become a Supporter in Spirit!
