Let’s say goodbye to 2016 at the annual PNWJETAA Bonenkai and hello to the year long JET 30th Anniversary celebration. It’s going to be a big one!

When:  December 10th, 6pm – 8pm

 

The Tea House in the International District is open again and we’ve got it reserved! A wonderful venue for the event! Please note that parking can be difficult in the International District on a Saturday night. There is a pay lot next to Nagomi Tea House but please allow extra time to find parking so you don’t miss any of the festivities!

Come celebrate with food, drink, and a very merry bunch of JETAA Alumni! There is plenty of space and there’s going to be a wonderful spread of delicious food and beverages!

This is going to be a big event so the more the merrier! Your ticket includes a buffet style catered spread and for $5 extra it will include 2 alcoholic drinks. Non-alcoholic drinks are of course free.

Children and families are definitely welcome, we would love to see everyone and celebrate together. And to help with that, children 12 and under are free!

November Nomikai & Networking – JET and General Assembly joint happy hour!

Come celebrate the end of the work week at this joint happy hour between JET and General Assembly. Drinks will be hosted by GA, so stop by for a refreshment, play a game of corn hole, and learn how others are leveling up their careers after living and working abroad.

This program was created specifically to serve our members by providing guidance and support to returning JETs as they acclimate to life back home.  However, over the years as our alumni chapter has grown and matured, Transitions has likewise evolved in order to offer valuable programing for all of our members who may be seeking new opportunities or exploring new career options.

October Nomikai and Networking – Halloween Edition!

October 5th: OPM Webinar – Writing Your Federal Resume

The Washington DC JETAA chapter is holding a webinar with the help from the US Office of Personnel Management (OPM) on applying to the federal government for employment. The webinar is to be held this coming Wednesday October 5th from 12pm to 1:30pm EST.

This is a great opportunity to learn the steps for applying for a federal job and it is 100 percent free! This is not limited to JET alumni, so feel free to share the information with friends and family.
