UPDATE: 2019 Shinnenkai has been postponed to mid-March
Join the Pacific Northwest JET Alumni Association as we celebrate another year! Meet new friends and reconnect with old ones as we reflect on 2018 and look ahead to 2019, the year of the boar.
The PNWJETAA Council has decided to err on the side of caution and to postpone the 2019 Shinnenkai to mid-March. The venue and time of the Shinnenkai next month will be the same.
We want everyone to be safe and comfortable with transportation to/from the venue, with parking, and to not disappointed they couldn’t make the big event!
For those who RSVPed through Brown Paper Ticket, please expect to receive a refund.
We will be changing the event to be pot-luck style, so please feel free to bring a dish. Drink tickets will be made available. Potential date of 3/16 is not confirmed, so please continue to check in for updates on the new, adjusted March date.
Thank you everyone for your kind understanding, and we look forward to seeing you all next month! Stay safe and warm in the meantime!
Date: Mid-March (To Be Announced) Time: 4:00-7:00 p.m. Venue: Japanese Cultural & Community Center of WA Address: 1414 S Weller St, Seattle, WA 98144
If you or a friend are former JETs and have a continued interest in supporting the JET Program and the Japanese-American community, a position with JETAA is a fantastic way to get involved! JETAA opens up so many opportunities to volunteer, forge friendships, and build your network.
Above all, JETAA is about creating community. It’s about finding your people. It’s about giving back. Plus, we have a pretty great time while we do it!
Voting will take place until our Shinnenkai on February 16th, where we’ll announce the election results. We hope you’ll join us!
